Hot Cross Buns made with all purpose spelt flour.
We stock a great range of different flours in the farm shop but here we chose to use Spelt Flour. It’s an all purpose so suitable for bread making and general baking making the loveliest pastry and buns. Many people find they can tolerate spelt flour far more easily than regular wheat flour hence it earning a reputation for being gut friendly. Feel free to replace spelt flour with regular in this recipe. We used the light white spelt here but it would work just as well with the with plain white flour, strong white/ wholemeal bread flour.
